We have fantastic news to share today as we announce that our long-term partners at Boeing have awarded us $100,000 towards our girls’ education work in Ethiopia.
Boeing is committed to education, encouraging students to reach their potential and help themselves and their communities to achieve academic success, financial independence and economic stability. The crucial funds from this new grant will deliver on that mission by supplementing our STAGES programme which is helping over 61,000 girls to transition into and complete their secondary education.
With this extra support, Link will be able to supply additional resources towards COVID-19 recovery, making up for lost learning over this year. We are also supporting school leaders and local authority staff to produce materials and deliver training on numeracy which has been identified as a particular area for development in our partner schools.
We are hugely grateful to Boeing for their ongoing support, especially in these difficult times where we find our work is needed more than ever.
