On International Women’s Day we are celebrating the girls and women who have conquered barriers and found joy in learning!
We are inspired by Tesfanesh, a medical student who once dropped out of school in Ethiopia.
We recognise Annet’s strength as she finishes high school with two young children in Uganda.
We are championing Madalitso as she uses her education to make choices about her future in Malawi.
And we are proud to be an all-female team in the UK with women chairing our boards in the UK and Uganda.
These are challenging times, with serious threats to women’s rights, dignity and lives being ignored by those with the power to help.
But together we can give every girl her right to education and a better life.
If you are angered by the neglect and inspired by these girls too, please make a donation and join our mission today.
It made me think and believe that I could do anything. It showed me that no matter what problems I faced, I could overcome them.
