We were thrilled to be featured in a recent paper from the UK Government exploring the best approaches to community-based structures in education.
We’ve long known about the importance of involving communities in education. Without a supportive community, learners are more likely to drop out or fail to live up to their ambitions. Communities can help schools to set a positive and safe learning environment, support learners at home, and shore up school resources. During recent school closures, surrounding communities have been needed more than ever.
We are so proud to have been recognised for our work in this area. UKaid praised the way that Link actively listens to people in communities and meaningfully involves them in supporting education. They also singled us out for the good value for money our work provides – making use of local knowledge, skills and expertise to maximise the value of existing limited resources.

We’ll also be presenting this work at the Comparative and International Education Society Conference (CIES) in April. Watch this space to join the discussion!
