Malawi (Neno district), 2024-2027, Scottish Government Climate Fund

Link is working with government and seven other local organisations to build resilience in schools and communities to adapt to and manage climate change. Marginalised community members are being prioritised and supported to advocate for climate justice and local equity.

Key activities

  • Support district and community climate adaptation and mitigation actions such as school wood lots, WASH activities and greening of school compounds
  • With government, review School Improvement Planning standards and processes enabling schools to better respond to climate events
  • Conduct participatory vulnerability assessments to ensure marginalised sectors of the community have a voice and are listened to
  • Develop an advocacy plan to that learning is shared and policy is influenced
